Unforgettable 6-day hike to the roof of Africa

3-person group summited Kilimanjaro on a 6 day trek together with Jerome and Kileo Tours. An unforgettable trip, with stunning nature, challenging hikes and a great guide and crew. Jerome is very experienced and will bring a great crew to the trip, including a chef that can cater to allergies. Jerome also knew exactly what to do when one in our group got altitude sickness, but still managed to get her to the top.
Highly recommended to use Kileo Tours if you are going to climb Kilimanjaro!

“6 National Parks with Kileo Tours“  –  “6 Parques nacionaels con Kileo Tours“

We Safari and Trekking with Kileo Tours for 10 days in total. We start with a day of trekking on Mount Kilimanjaro, where only got to the first camp. Very good walk, the truth is perfect for exploring this mountain but without the need to make the 6 days of the complete circuit. You get to see the top and the scenery is very beautiful, good activity to do for a day.
After that we walked five national parks in Safari mode. We start by the Arusha National Park, which is very interesting because it is the only park we stayed in that had a lot of jungle, so we saw many types of monkeys, not found in other parks. After that we went two days at Tarangire National Park, a day at Lake Manyara National Park, 3 days in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro after 1 day.
Highly recommended especially the last two parks (Serengeti and Ngorongoro), in addition to the Arusha National Park, as the Lake Manyara and Tarangire are almost the same animals.
We loved traveling with this company because it is operated by the owner and are really friendly, which is vital for Safari that lasts 10 days. We stayed 10 days with the same people and the truth is I really enjoyed it, we laughed and talked all. On top of that are very skilled at what they do, they know perfect behavior of animals and places in the park visit, as they are also very good in the mountains, being the companies that sometimes makes summit on Kilimanjaro.
The company did everything for us, since we picked up at the airport until the last day took us right where they were responsible for arranging accommodation and all safari. They were very cooperative when we asked if we could take some place to buy souvenirs or gifts to bring to our country.
I highly recommend visiting the parks we did, although I think you can do almost the same thing in fewer days, just to visit Arusha, Serengeti and Ngorongoro national park, it has covered much of the animals.

"When I get to the top of the mountain, I'll remember your name' - Ray Charles”

During the end of September 2015, my 7- day Machame Route adventure to the summit of Kilimanjaro became the physical and mental challenge of a lifetime. Having lived in both Kenya and Tanzania for a number of years, 'Kili's presence is all pervasive, from postcards, to books, to beer and billboards. To actually get up there was an extraordinary journey through an ever-changing landscape, where in the end, it became hard to work out what was biggest - the landscape, the vegetation, the glorious vistas, the big skies, Kilimanjaro - or was it simply the camaraderie and unflagging goodwill of the people who got us there - our porters and guides. To my mountain guide, Jerome Kileo of Kileo Tours and my porter Michael. Asante sana

“Summiting Kilimanjaro with Jerome Kileo”

I had the opportunity to climb Kilimanjaro with Jerome Kileo and his team. This was an excellent experience for me and my girlfriend.
I have experienced Jerome as a pleasant guide who is very sensitive. He has a good eye for detail and safety. During the entire trip he was keen to point out wildlife and explain things, was more aware of our own fitness than we were, and equipped with all safety equipment. So was his team, a team he personally selected.
During the climb we climb at our own pace which sometimes meant we could take some shortcuts to overtake slower groups and sometimes in short breaks for us to enjoy the views. Moreover Jerome is pleasant company during the meals or conversations during the hike up.
I would strongly recommend climbing up Kili with Kileo Tours.

SALVAJE - "WILD"!!!

We met Kileo Tours once we arrived at Tanzania without concrete plans. Recommended by the receptionist, Jerome and Livingstone came to our hotel in order to kindly explain everything. We started our adventure the next day with a hiking tour to the base camp of Mount Kilimanjaro (Machame Camp). The trail is beautiful and well worth doing at least to be at the foot of the giant of Africa! By time, we did not summit because our main objective was the Safari.

The next day we were picked up for Safari! Our first park was Tarangire National Park, known for its elephants! We decided not to sleep in hotel, but with them in a Public Camp. Before reaching the camp, we were impressed by zebras, elephants, buffalo, monkeys, birds and baboons ... we even saw a Masai tribe! On reaching the camp we realized what it really meant: set up a tent in the middle of the park without better protection than a fence to protect the kitchen area, a set of rules that you must follow and an armed ranger overnight. The first night we had elephants and lions walking in the Camp ... I was definitely scared, but if you follow the rules nothing will happen ... and believe me, it has been one of the best experiences! Then we were in the Serengeti, with the same dynamics and a pair of night visitors ... We ended up with Ngorongoro National Park, home to the last and elusive black rhinos.

KILEO TOURS? Of course! Good English, it shows who exactly know the places, since finding a leopard is much more difficult than I had imagined!!! We managed to see the BIG FIVE after 5 days. Jerome, Livingstone and Alfa were the best guides and friends who could meet in Tanzania! Good companion, learning, excellent food and above all laughter!!!

“SALVAJE!!!”

Buena compañía, aprendizaje, excelente comida y sobretodo risas!!!

From pick up at the airport on our arrival to sending us off at the end of our trip, Jerome provided a very personalized service. The climb up Kilimanjaro was well planned and met all our specifications and Jerome and his crew took extremely good care of us all the way. He also arranged for our safari and other side trips. The hotels and lodges we stayed in were all great. Jerome was recommended to my son by someone that he met on a humanitarian trip to Haiti and I am glad I made the leap of faith and followed this recommendation. His prices are fair and he treats his crew fairly. I admire his integrity and highly recommend Jerome to everyone who wants to have a great experience in Tanzania.

“Unforgettable trip”

I went to Arusha, Tanzania with a program called Moondance Adventures two summers ago and met Jerome Kileo, one of our guides on Mount Kilimanjaro as well as our safari guide. I will never forget the amazing adventures we had because of his unbelievable skills and outgoing personality, along with the other guides on our trip. Jerome and his team were so hospitable and outstanding. We keep in touch to this day and I would return to Tanzania in a heartbeat to go on more adventures with him!

More than two years have passed since I took part in a journey to Tanzania, visiting some of the country’s most beautiful national parks and climbing both Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. Coordinated through “DAV Summit Club” (Germany Alpine Club’s mountaineering school), my trip to Tanzania lasted from February 23, 2013 to March 10, 2013. During my Mount Kilimanjaro trek, I was led by Jerome Kileo, and stood on top of Uhuru Peak on March 6, 2013 at 6:45 am.

For me, the ascent up Mount Kilimanjaro was not easy, largely due to gastrointestinal issues I had during one leg of the trip. However, thanks to the comprehensive care and motivation of the entire team, I was able to go up with my personal guide Richard, meeting the rest of the group at the peak. Without the professionalism and aptitude of Jerome and his team, my goal of summiting Kilimanjaro would have remained but a dream. Not only did I realize this dream with the help of Jerome, but I also made new friends whom have continued to enrich my life and further my interest in Tanzania and its people. In the future, I plan on making another trekking trip to Tanzania, and will certainly do it with the great friends I made on my last trip.

My wife & I summited Mt Kilimanjaro in 2011.

Jerome Kileo was our guide and was the most incredible guide anyone could ever ask for. I can honestly say that without Jerome and his crew I would have never summited Kili. Safety was always paramount, and their experience and expertise allowed us to summit safely. They took great care of us and were honest, trustworthy, and professional. They also took many photographs for us, and I feel fortunate to have met Jerome and call him a dear friend.

Feel free to check out some footage from my trip:
